Vibul Wonprasat
Biography and Statement:
Vibul is an international artist who has lived in the United States for 30 years. He studied Fine Art at the College of Fine Arts, Bangkok. He studied Wassily Kandinsky works in Stugartt, West Germany. He pursued a self study of Western Art in museums throughout the United States since 1979.
He won several awards, such as:
California Art Council -- Artist in Residency, for three consecutive years
Los Angeles City Cultural Affair Department -- Artist in Residency, for over a decade
He is a guest lecturer at East meets West at the Chicago Fine Art Institute. He has a studio in Venice, California.
Joan Marshall, the Pacifica Asia museum director, quoted the following for an upcoming show, in which she recognizes his upcoming international expedition in Hartberg, Austria, entitled Vernissage.

He is an artist who draws inspiration not only from his native Thailand but also from California and the West. He is truly an international artist whose work is not defined by national boundaries."
Artist Statement:
Vibul Wonprasat is an Asian artist and is influenced by the Buddhist philosophy. He is motivated by dimension, creating style through the philosophy of Buddhism peace and infinity. He uses everyday activity as his subject matter in his creations. Most of all, he combines his eastern background with the western culture into one. His unique talent is his ability to express color into multiple dimensions and mood. He breaks shape into softness and hardness, and uses color to create spiritual fragments of times and space.
